There will be some new faces on the sidelines leading the Monmouth-Roseville sports programs this fall. The Titan varsity volleyball team will be coached by Lissa Schreck, while the golf team will be headed up by Tim Bresnahan. Schreck has been a long time volleyball coach around the area, previously with the Macomb and Galesburg high school programs. She also spent some time in the Monmouth-Roseville volleyball program early in her coaching career. Bresnahan has been a boys and girls basketball coach at all levels around Monmouth from junior high, high school and college. This will be his first varsity golf coaching opportunity.

Jeremy Adolphson will be back to coach the Monmouth-Roseville varsity football team. Adolphson will be entering his 14th season as the head coach of the Titans and his 24th season overall. He needs just five more wins to earn his 100th career win. Monmouth-Roseville will be looking for their 4th consecutive, and 5th in the last six seasons, playoff appearance, minus the COVID-pandemic season in 2020.

Zach Statham will be back for his 6th season as the head coach of the Titan boys soccer team. The Titans have lost in the regional championship game for 3 straight years and with a talented group coming back, Coach Statham expects to take the next step and bring home some hardware. The Titan boys took 2nd in the 2017 class 1A state tournament.

Nicole Trego will coach the boys and girls cross country squads once again this fall. Monmouth-Roseville school district superintendent Ed Fletcher is proud of the coaches working within the school district. Not only the success they’ve had, but the philosophies and life lessons being taught in each extra-curricular activity.

It won’t take long for new golf coach, Tim Bresnahan, to get his first competition under his belt as the Titan golf squad is the first team to get underway in the new school year. Monmouth-Roseville will take on United in the 4th annual Maple City Cup at Gibson Woods Golf Course on August 19th. The Titans have won the cup all three previous years. New volleyball coach Lissa Schreck will get her first match underway a week later on August 26th.
