  • Active period of weather next couple of days with increasing chances for storms mainly later tonight through Thursday. 
  • Low risk for severe weather. Tonight the threat is a level 1 of 5 for areas mainly west/south of the Quad Cities for gusty winds. Thursday the threat is a level 2 of 5 for much of the area for the afternoon/evening. Gusty winds, large hail are the primary threats but a tornado also can’t be ruled out.    
  • Very heavy downpours will also accompany any storms, with the potential for some areas to see 1 to 2+ inches, which could lead to ponding water and possibly a localized flooding risk
