Jack E. Sage, age 69 of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 3:55 PM on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, Illinois. He was born November 27, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Wendell and Betty (Pyles) Sage. Jack attended school in the Monmouth area. He married Gail Sage and they later divorced. Jack spent most of his career as a painter for the International Union of Painters. He enjoyed shooting pool, having a cold beer, and loved working on anything mechanical.

Jack is survived by two daughters, Salena (Luke) Parent of Severna Park, MD and Danielle (Donovan) Tippie of Keithsburg, IL, one son, Jack Sage, Jr. of Monmouth, IL, two sisters, Angela Hoopes and Dusty Hoopes, and two brothers, Tom (Sandy) Sage and Johnny Sage. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Walker, Payton, Derik, Callie, and Xander. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive along with many friends and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Janice Medrano and brothers Ike White and Wendell Sage.

As were Jack’s wishes, cremation is being accorded. No official services are currently planned. The family will receive people from 1-3 on Sunday December 22, 2024 at the Woodshed in Monmouth, IL.
