Ann Tenold Rogan has returned to her hometown as she has accepted the position of Executive Director at the Buchanan Center for the Arts in Downtown Monmouth. With a background in the arts and art history and museums, working at art museums in Wisconsin, Louisiana and Virginia, Rogan brings a wealth of knowledge for her vision at the BCA:
“I have noticed from being back that there is a lot of new community development and I think that marrying different cultures here is going to be really interesting. I think there is a lot of opportunity for collaboration. I would like to meet the new residents, obviously things look different than they did 37 years ago. It is still very grounding to be surrounded by the places and the people that have helped shaped you when you were growing up. It does feel really comfortable in that respect. There are a lot of fun new things that are happening here, and I am excited to get out in the community, talk to lots of different types of people and figure out if there are new ways that the Buchanan Center can be a resource for everybody in Monmouth and the surrounding areas.”
You can welcome Ann back to the Monmouth community by stopping in at the BCA Tuesdays through Fridays 10 am to 5 pm and on Saturdays 10 am to 2 pm, where you can also view the featured artwork on display for the Art from the HeARTland.
