Western Illinois Animal Rescue is putting together a program to assist Warren County with the feral cat population, explains Warren County Board Buildings and Grounds Chair Sean Cavanaugh:

“They capture the cat, they take it and have it spayed, neutered, tagged, rabies shots; the whole thing, plus the antibiotic, and then they release it back to where it was captured.”

Warren County would then be reimbursed $30 per cat, up to 100 cats by the Western Illinois Animal Rescue through this program.

In other Warren County Board news, the Board approved the country farm lease to J&J Farms for $79,913.41.
