Jamieson Community Center Christmas Store Serves Hundreds of Local Children

The Jamieson Community Center recently wrapped up its annual Community Christmas Store, helping families provide gifts and winter essentials for their children during the holiday season.

Executive Director Nancy Mowen says the support this year made a big difference for local families.

“The community donates everything else. That room was filled so every child gets a new outfit. They get socks and underwear thanks to the Monmouth Rotary Club. They get a new blanket to snuggle up with, and many of those are handmade. The Presbyterian Churches of Stronghurst and Media do the majority of those. This year, we had a total of 474 kids through the Christmas Store and the Angel Tree.”

Mowen says she is grateful for everyone who donated, volunteered, or helped support families during this holiday season.
