United School Board Recognizes Student Achievements and Staff Honors

At the recent United Board of Education meeting, student successes were recognized, informs Superintendent Tom Hawkins:

“Lindley Burns, she won First Place, Top Individual in the whole state, in the Horse Evaluation Contest with FFA, that was great. Aiden Martin, two things, he won First Place in the District Diversified Ag Culture Production in the District Record Book Competition, and he also is an IHSA Academic All State Honorable Mention. He is one of fifty kids.”

Additionally, United Junior/Senior High School Ag Teacher Scott Riden was recognized for receiving the Golden Owl Award with Illinois Future Farmers of American and Hank Shimmin for entering his twelfth year of service on the United Board of Education.
