During her talk, Dr. Osborne will present on her book "This Ghastly War:" A Woman Doctor in the American Ambulance Hospital During World War 1. Gathering at the cemetery will begin at noon with the Honor Guard and Firing Squad arriving at 12:15, followed by Speaker John Huxtable and Veteran Roll Call by Jeanne Gittings Robeson.
All are invited to the Kirkwood Fire Station for the annual Memorial Day Breakfast. Serving biscuits and gravy, pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage patties, and drinks for a freewill donation.
The Biggsville American Legion will be having a Memorial Day Service at the Biggsville cemetery on May 26th at 10am. In case of rain the service will be held at the Biggsville community building at 10am. Lawn chairs are recommended.
