Hazel Irene Miller, the daughter of Caroline and Harry James Taylor was born April 15, 1929. She met Jesus and her 11 Heavenly children on January 25, 2023 at the age of 93. She was one of 8 girls, all deceased (Harriet Daniels, Virgie Bayne, Elsie Huey, Eula Foster, Ruby Wright, Essie Schuffert and Mamie Tarvin).  Hazel was raised and educated in Bath and Havana, IL.

She was married to Melvin “Dutch” Miller for 56 Years until his death and is survived by two children, Debra Johnston (Dan Johnston) of Roseville and Michelle Hall (Mark Hall) of Monmouth. 

Hazel was the grandmother of six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Roseville United Methodist Church and a member of the Naomi Circle.  She was a farmer’s wife, avid gardener and stored shelves of canned homegrown food. Hazel is remembered for her service to her church, service to others and her open home. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 28th at 2:00 pm at the Roseville United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Roseville United Methodist Church. Wise Family Funeral Home-Roseville is handling the arrangements.
