Monmouth College Men’s and Women’s Basketball In the Hunt for Playoff Spots

Share

Heading into last week in Midwest Conference women’s and men’s basketball play, the Monmouth College men’s team was in second place and (6-1) in league play. The Scot’s men were safely in the conversation for one of the four conference tournament spots. The Fighting Scots women were below .500 in conference play and were fighting for a top-4 position in the standings. Both squads went in different directions last week, with men dropping a pair of close games and the women going (2-0) in conference play. The Midwest Conference schedule is just over the halfway point in the season and with each team’s performance last week, sets up entirely different scenarios for each squad. Monmouth College Sports Information Director Nathan Baliva tried to make sense of their situations on the WRAM Morning Show on Monday morning.
