Michael Steve Burnett, 70, of London Mills, IL, passed away at 11:10 a.m., Friday, February 3, 2023 in his home. He was born June 20, 1952 in Peoria, IL, the son of Richard M. and Beulah Lois (Murphy) Burnett. He married Christine Williamson in 1969 and she preceded him in death on April 14, 2017.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Ron (Bobbie) Burnett of London Mills, Danielle (Darrell) Mudd of Council Bluffs, IA, Shannon (Michael) Williams of Bellevue, NE; grandchildren, Jonathan, Alex, Jordan, Alyssa, Christopher, Abigail and Christian; Several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; siblings, Delores (Bernard) Kenney of Avon, IL, Barbara Johnson of Intercourse, PA, Ronnie (Char) Burnett of Peoria, IL, Dixie (Jack) Saltine of London Mills, Debbie (Jim) Dildine of Ellisville, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Christine Burnett; one daughter, Kari Burnett; siblings, Richard “Dick” Burnett, Robert Burnett, Dennis “Danny” Burnett and Patricia Burnett.

Steve loved his family more than anything in the world. He especially enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2023 in the London Mills Legion Hall. Memorial donations may be made to the family to help with final expenses. Wise Family Funeral Home, Avon, is handling the arrangements.
