Kevin L. Munson, 54, of Monmouth, IL passed away at 5:21 pm, Monday, May 1, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

Kevin was born July 25, 1968 in Galesburg, IL the son of Melvin and Norma (Flynn) Munson.  He was raised and educated in Smithshire, IL and attended Southern High School in Stronghurst, IL.

Kevin married Rexanna Harwood.  He later married Julie Pece on October 7, 2020 in Monmouth and she survives.

Kevin worked at Western Stoneware, Porcine Farms, Midstate Manufacturing, Amricold, Kunes Country and most recently Wells Pet Food.

He loved detailing cars and fishing with his son. He was a very loving person and his son was the center of his life.

Survivors include his wife, Julie Munson of Monmouth; his son, Brandon Munson and his daughter, Courtney Miller both of Monmouth; his siblings, Kim (Donald) Neal of Monmouth and Melvin (Betty) Munson of Stronghurst, IL; 2 nieces and a nephew. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has been accorded. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Kevin Munson Memorial Fund to offset the funeral expenses and sent to the funeral home.
