Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity Baseball Takes 6-1 Victory Over Sherrard Tigers

Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity wins contest against Sherrard Varsity Tigers on Thursday, 6-1

In the first inning, Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity got their offense started when C.J. Johnson singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity put up three runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught came from a single by Leo Mahoney and a double by Silas Braun.

Justin Brooks took the win for Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity. The righty allowed eight hits and one run over six innings, striking out five. Jake Steele threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Maddux Harksen took the loss for Sherrard Varsity Tigers. The righthander allowed nine hits and four runs over four and a third innings, striking out five.

Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity tallied 12 hits on the day. Braun, Johnson, and Zach Almaguer all had multiple hits for Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity. Braun led Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity with three hits in three at bats. Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Almaguer made the most plays with eight.

Sherrard Varsity Tigers totaled nine hits. Broc DeHamer, Kyler Schmidt, and Cam Davis all managed multiple hits for Sherrard Varsity Tigers. Sherrard Varsity Tigers didn’t commit a single error in the field. Aiden Switzer had eight chances in the field, the most on the team.

Titans are 14-9-1

They play in Morrison tonight.
