New Charges Added in Macomb Homicide Investigation

On 05/01/2023, the State’s Attorney’s office has filed additional charges in this case. A newly filed Information, by State’s Attorney Matt Kwacala, includes 1st Degree Murder charges, with enhanced sentencing (minimum 45 years), as well as 3 counts of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm. Demond Wilson, Jr. has appeared in court on these charges on 05/01/2023.

Evidence continues to be examined by Macomb Police Department detectives and the Illinois State Police Crime Lab. Anyone with further information or video of the event should contact Crimestoppers at 309-836-3222 and you may remain anonymous.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
