University of Iowa and Eastern Illinois University Chosen to Play in the NCAA Baseball Tournament

The University of Iowa baseball team has earned a two-seed in the NCAA Tournament. It’s the third Regionals appearance under Head Coach Rick Heller and the sixth in program history. The Hawkeyes earned an at-large selection to the tournament after winning 42 games this season, the second-most in school history. (42-14) Iowa will face three-seed North Carolina on Friday at 6 p.m. in Terre Haute, Indiana.

The Eastern Illinois Panthers baseball team is heading off to Nashville for the NCAA Tournament this weekend, as well. The Panthers are making their first appearance in the tournament since 2008 after finishing the season with a 38-and-19 overall record and winning the Ohio Valley Conference tournament this past weekend. EIU will take on Vanderbilt on Friday.
