Wanda M. Roach, 74, of Galesburg, Il formerly of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 12:22 p.m., Sunday, May 14, 2023, at home surrounded by her family.

Wanda was born June 4, 1948 in Fall Branch, TN, the daughter of Orville and Mary Jo (Steadman) Hulse.  She was raised and educated in Tennessee and Illinois.

She married Dan Roach in Moline, IL and later divorced after 11 years.

Wanda was a homemaker.

Wanda loved being a mom, grandma and great-grandma.  Her family was the most important thing to her and her whole life revolved around taking care of them.  She enjoyed going to casinos, dancing and hanging out with her friends. 

Survivors include her children, Joetta (Mark) Smith and Mark Roach both of Monmouth; her grandchildren Cameron (Savanah) Smith, Carissa Smith and Austin Roach; her great-granddaughter, Emmy Smith; her nephew, Jason (Rosa) Hulse; great niece, Kia Hulse and great nephew, Devin Hulse.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant son, Christopher Roach and her twin brother, Robert “Bob” Hulse.

From all her friends that know her and called her Mom, “You will be sorely missed by all, so go rest high on that mountain Mom and may you rest in peace”.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am, Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Monmouth Cemetery.  Memorials may be given to Wanda M. Roach Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home.
