The Abingdon-Avon high school baseball team wrapped up their season with a loss in the class 1A Abingdon-Avon Regional semifinals, where the host Tornadoes fell in a tough 6-2 contest to the 17-12 United Red Storm. A-Town baseball will now look towards a pivotal offseason of development, as the Tornadoes only lose 2 seniors from their roster this year, and will get much of their young talent back for the 2023-2024 season. Speaking on the WRAM morning show this morning, 1st year Head Coach Gary Cameron says he expects his ballclub to be very competitive next spring, as Abingdon-Avon expects to have around 30-40 players in the program come next school year.

Abingdon-Avon finished the 2022-2023 season with an 11-13 record overall, and 4-4 record in Lincoln Trail Conference play. The Tornadoes had three underclassmen make the recently released LTC All-Conference list. Juniors Kellen Hook and Carter Redfern were 1st team Position Players and fell junior Dawson Fenton was an Honorable Mention pitcher.
