The 4-H Show wrapped up Wednesday afternoon at the Warren County Agricultural Fair with the announcement of the winner of the Master Showmanship contest. This year three showmen competed for the Master Showman contest and represent Warren County at the Illinois State Fair this August.

After winning the swine and sheep portion of the contest, Aubrey Killey was named this year’s Master Showman, representing Warren County for the third year at the state fair.

“I will be doing lots of research, trying to find out any little facts, make sure I know where everything’s on all three species. Making sure I know all the information on all the livestock that I’m using,” said Killey. “And just make sure I’m really prepared and know everything about the animal going into it because it’s definitely not easy around there. You’re going against the best of the best. And I’m gonna have to work hard and persevere through all the challenges, but hopefully, I can come home with a good success like last year and represent Warren County to the best of my abilities.”

In 2022 Aubrey placed eighth overall at the State Fair and hopes to place in the top three this year.
