Brent Thomas Campbell, 51, of Peoria, died Sunday, August 27, 2023.

He was born January 11, 1972, in Galesburg, the son of Thomas P. and Sandra Kay (Magnuson) Campbell.

He is survived by his mom and step-dad, Sandy and Gene Voorhees of Galesburg; step-mother, Susie Campbell of Galesburg; three children, Shelby Prouty of Hebron, Indiana, Bradley Thomas Campbell of Peoria, and Taylin Campbell of Peoria; four grandchildren, Reagan, Rebel, Jordynn, and Jayda; siblings, Patty Campbell of Peoria, Richard (Tina) Swanson of Galesburg, Bryan (Jenee) Campbell of Galesburg, and Erin (Joe) Hitchcock of St. Jacob, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father on June 14, 2013.

He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1990, where he was active in playing football and basketball. He attended Carl Sandburg College. Brent was proud to be a carpenter with Carpenter’s Union Local 237. Motorcycle racing was always an important part of Brent’s life, whether participating in or attending races. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, listening to music, doing the Moonwalk, and of course, building America. Most importantly, Brent loved spending time with his family. He was especially fond of the babies, and they liked him too.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2023, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Cremation will be accorded following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Brent’s name may be made to his children. Online condolences may be left on the funeral home’s website at www.h-p-w.com.
