Local entrepreneurs Scott Haase and Marcus Doyle are honoring a local legend, Abner Harding, with the opening of their new establishment Abner’s in Market Alley in Downtown Monmouth, shares Market Alley Wines Owner Sarah Walters:
“Abner’s is formerly Tooties in the Alley. It was recently purchased by Scott Haase and Marcus Doyle and they have done an amazing job of renovating and resurfacing the outside, it is gorgeous on the inside. Abner was one of the founding fathers of Monmouth College and he had a pretty big war history and so I think they wanted to do that nod to him, just that historic figure in our town.”
Walters also said to look for partnerships between Abner’s and Market Alley Wines in the future.
