WCPT Offering New Paperless Diminishing Balance Payment Option to Riders

Share

Warren County Public Transportation, or WCPT, has offered affordable rides to individuals in the local communities for many years. While the public transportation services have transitioned their operating umbrella to the Warren County Board, the offered transportation throughout Warren County remains the same and Director of Transportation Morgan Lewis explains a new payment option available for riders:

“It is called Diminishing Balance. I know everybody has probably heard of a punch card and how that works, Diminishing Balance is almost exactly like that, but it is paperless. You can still pay ahead and those nifty little tablets our drivers have on their busses, when you get on a schedule your ride, they will see you have a Diminishing Balance, they will click that for payment and it will even show you right there how much you have left. You never have to worry about forgetting your punch card at home, it is all right there and easy breezy. We can even tell you your balance on the phone too if you want to call and check. Also, you can use this for a child if you want to apply your balance to someone else, so it is user friendly.”

To enroll in the Diminishing Balance payment option or to schedule a ride with WCPT, call 309-734-6001.
