Rose Mary Earley, 85, of Oneida, IL, passed away at 6:10 p.m., Sunday, December 31, 2023 at OSF Saint Mary’s Medical Center, Galesburg, IL.

She was born on August 24, 1938 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of John Richard and Ethel Goldie (Kenney) Nall.  She was raised and educated in Louisville and graduated from Mercy High School in 1956. 

Rose married John Earley, Jr. on October 12, 1963 at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Louisville, KY; he preceded her in death on November 9, 2015. 

Rose was the Director of Religious Education at Resurrection Catholic Church in Louisville, KY and later at Saint Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceville, GA.  She enjoyed traveling and gardening. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family.

She is survived by Two sons, John Earley and Scott (Natasha) Earley; her grandchildren, Nicole Earley, Michael Earley, Savanna Earley, Ryan White, Ian Earley, and Conor Earley. She is also survived by her younger brother, John Robert Nall, and her nephew, Timothy Redmon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Earley, Jr., and two siblings, Richard Andrew Nall and Ruth Ann Alexander (Nall).

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A wake and funeral service will be at a later date.  Interment of her ashes will be at All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody Georgia with her husband.  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.  For more information or to leave an online condolence, please visit www.mcguireanddaviesfuneralhome.com
