United Wrestlers Fall Short of State After Hard Fought Battles at Sectionals

Share

After a hard fought two days of wrestling in Stanford Olympia for Sectionals. United fell just short of a state Qualifier. Jacob Penn and Carter Rothzen went 0-2 having two tough matches. Jake McElwee went 2-2 hurting his shoulder that would hinder his ability to win the final match to advance to state. I’m so very proud of this whole team this year. We were young and had a lot to learn. Carter Rothzen advanced to sectionals in his second year ever wrestling. Jacob Penn went in his first year ever wrestling. Jake McElwee ends his highschool career with 95 wins and a State Qualifier as a Junior last year.
