Declining Mobility? Stay Fit And Strong With The Warren County Wellness Program

Share

The Warren County Health Department and Strom Center are joining forces to offer a Wellness Program, free of charge, twice a week beginning in April, shares Health Department Administrator Jenna Link:

“We did notice, especially with the aging population, your mobility drastically can decline if you are not taking some steps to really make good choices and stay mobile. We went through a training and certification with the University of Illinois Chicago called ‘Fit and Strong,’ it was a twelve week program that went through nutrition, stretches, strength training, and the benefits of all of those as far as balance and bone health as you age. We have modified that program and now we are bringing it back and calling it our ‘Warren County Wellness Program.’”

The Warren County Wellness Program will begin April 2nd and run through May 23rd on Tuesdays and Thursday at Strom Center in Monmouth from 10 to 11 am. To register for this free program, feel free to contact either the Warren County Health Department of Strom Center.
