Mary Beth Bruington, 68, of Plano, TX, formerly of Alexis, passed away at 9:02 a.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Mary Beth was born June 30, 1955 in Galesburg, the daughter of R.W and Doris (Smith) Bruington. She was raised and educated in Alexis, graduating from Alexis High School in 1972. She later attended Western Illinois University where she earned a degree in Geology.

Survivors include her siblings, Barry Bruington, William Bruington, Salley, Nancy Shultz; nephew, Jeremy Davis and niece Vanessa.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mary Beth loved nature and animals. She took part in many geological digs and enjoyed finding treasures to collect. She was kind and loving toward all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family and left in the care of the funeral home. Moore Memorial Home, Alexis, is handling the arrangements.
