United Red Storm Baseball Gearing Up for LTC Schedule With Tough Non-Con Slate

Share

Story by Kadin Rogers

The United Red Storm baseball team is coming off a weekend trip to the Chicagoland area last Saturday, as United traveled up north to take on defending class 3A champion Nazareth Academy, then a very good class 2A Holy Trinity squad in a doubleheader. The trip was a sort of homecoming for head baseball coach Ryan Molek, who is from the area, and who’s dad Rod Molek is currently on the Nazareth coaching staff. While United could not come away with a win on the weekend, as the Red Storm fell to both Nazareth and Holy Trinity, Coach Molek says the trip was still valuable for his team, as it gives his players more experience against some of the best teams in the state.

United gets right back in to the action tonight with a match against Galva, then continues the action on Saturday with a doubleheader against Abingdon-Avon. We will have coverage of the first game of United’s doubleheader against A-Town on the PCSN at 11:00. Pregame show coverage will hit the air on AM 1330/FM 95.7 WRAM and radiomonmouth.com at 10:45. Followed by Chicago Cub baseball at 1:20.
