Arrest Warrant Issued in Connection to Galesburg Shooting

 On Friday 6/7/2024 at approximately 11:12 AM, the Galesburg Police Department responded to the 900 block of E. South Street in reference to shots being fired.

Upon arrival, a gunshot victim was located inside the residence at 949 E. South Street. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene with an apparent gunshot wound. The name of the deceased victim has been identified as Cam’ron Glass, 18 years old, from Galesburg, IL.

An arrest warrant for Murder has been issued for Chase Houlden Jr., 19 years old, from Galesburg, IL. Houlden was also injured during the shooting incident, and currently remains at OSF St. Francis Hospital in stable condition.

The investigation into this matter is ongoing and additional arrests are anticipated.

A few minutes later, the Galesburg Police Department learned that a second gunshot victim was transported to OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg by an unknown person. The second gunshot victim was subsequently transported to OSF St. Francis to be treated.

This investigation is ongoing, and at this time, the names of the victims are not being released.  This appears to be an isolated incident and there are no identifiable threats to the general public.
