Former Shopko Building in Monmouth Back on the Market

Share

Monmouth City Administrator Lew Steinbrecher has been informed by Hy-Vee that they will not be developing a store at the old Shopko building and the property is up for sale with a realtor. Steinbrecher has more:

“I recently had a conversation with the real estate department with Hy-Vee headquarters and they have informed me that they no longer plan to convert the old Shopko into a Hy-Vee grocery store and that they have listed it with a real estate agent that have put it up for sale. I don’t remember off the top of my head what the asking price is, but they do have it on the market for sale at this time.”

Hy-Vee purchased the property in 2020. For more information, you can contact the City of Monmouth at 734 2141.
