Michael L. “Scrog” Hendrickson, age 68, of Biggsville, Illinois, passed away at 9:05 AM on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at his residence. He was born January 20, 1956 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Charles Walter and Nancy Ramsey (Morris) Hendrickson. Mike was raised in the Biggsville area and was a graduate of Union High School. Mike worked several jobs, mostly as a mechanic and a truck driver. He worked several years as a driver for Werner Enterprises. In his earlier years, he worked for several car dealerships in the Atlanta, Georgia area. For a time, he owned and operated a gas station in Biggsville. Mike enjoyed gardening, drag racing, and NASCAR. He enjoyed watching old westerns and soap operas. Mostly, Mike loved his family.

Mike is survived by two brothers, Charles (Mary) Hendrickson of Iowa City, Iowa and Rob (Lori) Hendrickson of Biggsville, Illinois, and three nephews, Dustin Hendrickson of Chicago, Illinois, Michael J. (Kelly) Hendrickson of St. Louis, Missouri, and Robert D. (Terry) Hendrickson of Stronghurst, Illinois. Also surviving are many other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Sue Ann Hendrickson.

As were Mike’s wishes, cremation is being accorded. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Biggsville Township Cemetery.
