Transportation to and from doctor visits is available locally through Eagle View Community Health System, reports Marketing Director and Community Health Worker Sabrina Wilson:
“If you are in our five county catch mitt, we can take patients from everywhere, but if you have an appointment at Eagle View, we can transport you to your appointment and if the provider or the dentist refers you out to a specialist for something we can’t do in house, we will then transport you up to a certain amount of miles to that appointment. We have been working with Warren County Transportation too and the Henderson County Health Department and all been talking in trying to figure out on how to get more transportation in Henderson County.”
The five counties in Eagle View’s catch mitt include Henderson, Warren, Mercer, McDonough, and Des Moines.
