Alice L. Richardson, 87, of Roseville, IL, passed away at 10:35 a.m., Saturday, December 7, 2024 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, IL. 

She was born on September 4, 1937 in Crawford, NE, the daughter of Raymond and Erva (Wilder) Crile.  Alice was raised and educated in Crawford and graduated from Crawford High School in 1955. 

Alice married Robert Lee Richardson on June 4, 1955 in Crawford, NE; he preceded her in death on November 6, 2004.

Alice worked side by side with her husband as his secretary at their Country Companies Office they started together in Tulsa, OK for 15 Years.  She was a member of the Christ Redeemer Lutheran Church in Tulsa for several years and later attended the First Christian Church in Roseville, IL.  Alice enjoyed playing board games, painting, knitting preemie hats for St. Jude’s, she was a member of the Roseville Red Hatter’s and Community Club. 

Surviving Alice are her daughters, Glenda (Preston) Allen of Smithshire, IL, Donna Meldrum of West Palm Beach, FL, Ann Carrico of Broken Arrow, OK; four grandchildren, Christina Michelle (Todd) Dekeyrel of Aurora, IL, Matthew (Amy) Allen of Fowler, IL, Joshua (Kalista) Allen of Algonquin, IL, Logan Meldrum of Tulsa, OK; and seven great-grandchildren.  Also surviving is one sister, Eva Dieckmann of Alabama.   

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 49 years, two brothers, four sisters, and one grandson.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  Per Alice’s wishes her services will be private with family. Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and sent to the funeral home.  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
