Danford “Dan” H. Bigger, 61, of Gladstone, IL passed away on December 7, 2024 at his home.

Dan was born March 2, 1963 in Burlington, IA, the son of Ronald E. and Violet H. (Keaweehu) Bigger.  He was raised and educated in Gladstone, graduating from Union High School with the Class of 1981.

Dan married Brenda L. Newton in Gladstone on September 17, 1994 and she survives.

Dan farmed on the family farm near Gladstone and worked at Maytag and the American Ordnance Plant.

He loved farming, tractor pulls where he was known as the “Flyin’ Hawaiian”, working on IH tractors and old Chevy trucks.  He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Bigger of Gladstone and several brothers and sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Mark Bigger and Harry Bigger and half-brother, Raymond Keaweehu.

Cremation has been accorded. No services are planned at this time. Memorials may be given to the Dan Bigger Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home.
