Mrs. Laura M. Dill, 57, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 4:12 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, Illinois.

Laura was born on July 15, 1967 in Galesburg, the only child of Walter and Eileen Wade.  She married Robert Dill on August 13, 1988 in Galesburg.

Surviving is her husband of 36 years, Bob Dill of Galesburg, and her mother, Eileen Wade of Galesburg.  She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Wade.  

Laura graduated from Galesburg High School in 1985.  She was an Administrative Assistant in the Human Resource Department of the Galesburg School District #205 for 36 years, retiring in 2022.  She was a voracious reader, loved animals, especially her pet cat and dog, was an excellent cook and very hospitable.  She was a natural at gardening and with her husband helped her parents at Wade’s Greenhouse in Galesburg.  She loved flowers but her real joy was in making bouquets to share with family and friends.   Laura was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and her whole life was centered around worshipping her God Jehovah.  Her greatest love was sharing her faith with others.     

Cremation will be accorded.  Visitation will be from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 201 N. Linwood Road.  A memorial service for Laura will follow at 4:00 p.m.  In lieu of sending flowers to the family, please send a bouquet to someone of your choice in Laura’s honor.  Cremation scattering will be in East Linwood Scattering Garden at a later date.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West  funeral Directors and Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be made a wwlw.h-p-w.com.
