With over three decades of professional, progressive, and decorated law enforcement experience, Jack Baskett has announced his candidacy for Warren County Sheriff in 2026. In his run for Sheriff, Jack says it is more than a job:
“This is more than a job for me. I am a 24/7 employee now. If there is an incident in the county, more than likely I will be there. I bring a toolbox of thirty plus years of experience. With the new jail coming on, this is a transitional period, but I feel with my training and experience, I am a qualified candidate. One thing I don’t like to see is redundancy. There are agencies out there that are on the tip of the spear as far as computer crimes, cybercrimes; for a local office like ours with small manpower, we need to have a hand in hand working partner relationship with those agencies. One of my number one goals here, has been since I have been here, is critical incident management. I like this county. It is based on values, family, and I want to see people be able to live without all the outside influences of crime. I want people to live in the safety of their homes.”
Jack currently serves as a Patrol Sergeant with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
