A self-serve dog wash, which will be known as ‘Whisker Wash,’ is going to be opening in the Monmouth community. The business will be located at 501 North 11th Street and local entrepreneur Sean Stevens explains the setup:

“The facility, it will be a new building. You will walk in the door and to your left will be an iClean Dog Wash system. I have researched this program for a long time. It is stainless steel. You will walk over, open up the gate, your dog hops in, close the gate, and tether the dog in. It is called a ‘cube’ and the dog will actually kind of be inside the machine, but you will be standing on the outside washing. Your screen will be right up ahead of you, telling you where you are at in your wash cycle, and you will base it off time. The machine will accept credit card, cash, and coin. There will be, obviously, the shampoo, rinse, and a dry cycle hose that you will be able to use to dry your dog. When you are done, you will just open the door, and back down on the floor they go.”

Construction for the ‘Whisker Wash’ is anticipated to begin at the end of March or first part of April.
