Prairie Players Civic Theatre explores the near-misses and unspoken connections that shape our lives in This Random World: The Myth of Serendipity, from April 4-13.

This bittersweet comedy, written by Steven Dietz and directed by Todd Quick, follows intersecting stories of family members and strangers who unknowingly cross paths, revealing how chance encounters and missed opportunities define our relationships. With humor and heart, it delves into the randomness of life and the human condition. “The play is equal parts funny, heartbreaking, and thought-provoking,” says Quick.

Performances are Fridays (April 4 and 11) and Saturdays (April 5 and 12) at 7:30 pm. Matinee performances will be on Sundays (April 6 and 13) at 2 pm. All performances are at Prairie Players Civic Theatre, 160 S. Seminary Street, Galesburg. Tickets are $16 for adults and $9 for students, plus fees, at PrairiePlayers.com

Cast members include Ryan Bowman, Allie (AB) Bryan, Stephanie Liljedahl, Lindsey Marshall, Jodie McNally, Kevin Plummer, Anita Reese, and Charlie Vestal.
