In just two golf outings, over $59,000 has been raised locally and donated directly to Parkinson’s research. Now, gearing up for the third annual Tom Parrish Memorial Golf Tournament, Marcia Parrish is overwhelmed by the support from the community:
“A couple of years ago, after my husband Tom passed away, we joined Team Fox, started a golf tournament, and got massive support from the Monmouth community; lots of friends and family and people who enjoy going out and playing golf. So, the first year we made $22,000 and 100 percent of that money that we made went toward research. Last year, we had over 100 golfers and we raised $37,500.”
This year’s Tom Parrish Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, August 16th at Gibson Woods in Monmouth.
