As Western Illinois University is celebrating their 125th anniversary in 2025, Vice President of Student Success Justin Schuch, shares the trends in program enrollment among students at the university:

“We continue to see a lot of interest in the overall health and wellness programs, whether it be nursing or speech pathology and audiology, there is continued interest there. Our law enforcement and emergency management programs continue to blossom and have a lot of interest, but we also see some real focus in majors like biology and our music department. There is a lot of excitement around the Goldfarb Center for the Performing Arts that we are hopeful to open in 2026.”

The Goldfarb Center for the Performing Arts is a $120 million investment to the Western Illinois University campus in Macomb.
