On Tuesday, June 24th, the Knox County Area Partnership for Economic Development will host their 10th annual meeting at the Cedar Creek Hall in Galesburg from 11:30 am to 1 pm. President Ken Springer shares this years’ keynote speaker:

“We always start the event off with an update on what has been going on in KCAP’s world, so we are going to talk about a recent organizational growth and some achievements over the last year. We will also talk about, in general, just some bigger things that are going on in the community and try to put those in context for economic development. We have a great keynote speaker coming in. His name is Brooks Goedeker. He is the Executive Director of the St. Louis Midtown Redevelopment Corporation. What Brooks does is similar to what we do at KCAP, he does economic development but also does a lot of community development. Brooks has a really, really interesting, storied career developing and redeveloping properties around St. Louis University. I think there will be a lot of great parallels between what Brooks has done in his career and some of the opportunities that are in front of us in this market.”

Tickets for the annual meeting can be purchased by emailing abby@knoxpartnership.com.
