Terry E. Tracy, 69, of Keithsburg, Illinois, died on July 17, 2025, at the age of 69, in his hometown of Galesburg, Illinois. Born on February 19, 1956, in Galesburg, the son of Ernest E. and Lillian I. (Warner) Tracy.

Terry married Mary F. Wallick in Galesburg on August 6, 1983. They eventually moved to Florida for many years. While living in Florida Terry worked as a yacht and boat painter. As a talented painter, Terry worked for a time as an automobile painter and detailer. They eventually moved back to Illinois.

Terry relished the great outdoors, and there was seldom a day when he could not be found on the Mississippi River, indulging his love for fishing and spending precious moments with his cherished partner, Mary. Their time together on the river created lasting memories that formed the backbone of his life, enriching their bond with laughter and joy.

Terry was known for his adventurous personality. His passion for life was evident in every endeavor he undertook, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Terry is survived by one brother, Lucky D. (Sue) Tracy of Oquawka, Illinois; two sisters, Sandra Carlstedt of Buford, Georgia and Peggy Clark of Pinellas Park, Florida; and several nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary on January 22, 2018; two sisters, Beverly and Patty; and two brothers, Tom and Mike.

Cremation has been accorded. Memorial visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Turnbull Funeral Home, Oquawka, Illinois. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com.
