Learn the Basics of Starting a Business in Illinois During Free Workshop September 23rd

On Tuesday, September 23rd, the Maple City Area Partnership and Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce are teaming up with America’s Small Business Development Center of Illinois to host a free business workshop, explains Executive Director Andrea Monroe:

“The SBDC, we have them coming in and we are going to be doing a free workshop. That is going to be September 23rd from 6 to 7:30 pm at Meks on Main. It is basically topics about choosing a business name, your licenses and permits, obtaining a tax ID number, what kind of insurance you might need, obviously paying taxes, and just basic bookkeeping and things of that nature. We are also talking about, that is this is a good hit, that we might do one in Spanish also.”
