Monmouth Mayor Davies Proclaims National Hispanic Heritage Month Ahead of Festival on Public Square

At the recent Monmouth City Council Meeting, Mayor Rod Davies proclaimed September 15th through October 15th as National Hispanic Heritage Month:

“We talked a lot about involving and making sure that all of our residents celebrate our unique vibrant history and commit ourselves to the shared future of healthy, peaceful, safe, and sustainable community for all. We do have the Hispanic Festival this weekend, so that will be a good event for folks to check in on Saturday night in Downtown Monmouth.”

The Hispanic Heritage Festival with the United Way of West Central Illinois will be held from 6 pm to midnight in Downtown Monmouth this Saturday, September 20th.
