In partnership with US HealthVest, OSF HealthCare has broken ground on a new mental health facility in Peoria, informs President of OSF St. Mary and Holy Family Medical Centers Lisa DeKezel:

“We recently broke ground on the Meadowview Behavioral Health in Peoria, in partnership with US HealthVest. That is a strategic partnership to build a state-of-the-art hospital that will expand access to much needed behavioral health services for Central Illinois. It will offer both inpatient and outpatient care for conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, a substance use disorder; mental health is just such a vital part of our overall well-being, and this new hospital represents a major step forward for OSF in addressing these urgent needs in our community. We certainly see the impact every single day in our communities, in our clinics, in our hospitals. This certainly will not be the final solution, but it certainly is a big step forward in our healthcare platform for Central Illinois.”

Additionally, DeKezel reports providing minimally invasive surgical care with the new da Vinci 5 robotic system at OSF St. Mary Medical Center has allowed for smaller incisions and faster recovery with patients.
