Eighty-six students at Monmouth-Roseville High School are currently enrolled in dual credit courses or CTE courses with the Galesburg Area Vocational Center, reports Superintendent Ed Fletcher:

“We have 41 students taking dual credit courses at Sandburg. We have five students taking classes at Monmouth College and we have 40 students taking CTE courses at the Galesburg Area Vocational Center. Not every kid is going to go to college, so it has been a priority of the Board to give them opportunities to go take classes. The district pays for the dual credit courses and the courses at GAVC, so really it is up to the kids. Giving a kid a leg up on either post-secondary education with college or post-secondary workplace readiness is the goal there.”

Meanwhile, Parent-Teacher Conferences for the Monmouth-Roseville School District will take place October 22nd and 23rd, with no school Friday, October 24th.
