As Daylight Savings Time ends this Sunday, November 2nd and clocks will be turned back one hour, Monmouth Police Chief Joe Switzer reminds motorists to keep an eye out for pedestrians as it will get dark out earlier in the evenings:

“It is still early in the day, it is just going to be dark out, so keep an eye out when you are driving down the street, especially if you are walking. Pay attention to what you are doing. Don’t walk out in front of traffic, cross at the intersections where you are supposed to cross at and try not to walk out from parked cars, people can’t see you sometimes when you are coming out from those locations.”

Additionally, Friday is Halloween, so there will be increased traffic on the roadways as children will be out trick-or-treating with their friends and families.
