As the 2026 General Primary Election in Illinois nears, Dillan Vancil is hitting the campaign trial hard in the 17th Congressional District:
“My three biggest concerns are myself being a school board member, education plays an important part of my campaign. We have to get more into a career focused education. Secondary education and universities have just gotten so expensive. We have to start streamlining some of those things, so it is more affordable. The second, being a small business owner, taxes and regulations, we have to get those under control. Our taxes, our roads here in Illinois aren’t being updated. Our taxes are getting higher, our education is going down, our road and infrastructures are getting worse, we have to get that under control. Also, health insurance, it is just not affordable, we have to get the cost under control.”
General Primary Election Day in Illinois is Tuesday, March 17, 2026.
