What started as a hobby has grown into a microbrewery serving the Monmouth community at the Patton Block Grill and Brew Pub. Co-Owner Chris Gavin explains the brewing process of the fresh beverages served at the restaurant:

“It is a very unique situation. We are a microbrewery. It’s the smallest a craft brewery is. We call it a one-and-a-half-barrel system, which basically means we make around forty-five to fifty gallons of beer each time we brew. That amounts to about three kegs of beer every time we brew it. Ninety-five percent of that beer is sold right there at the restaurant. The unique part about that is it is always fresh. It is brewed there, it is served there, it’s fresh. I think that makes a big difference. Our brewers do a great job, Steve Murmann and Doug Rankin are primarily doing the brewing now.”

Gavin informs they have recently started distributing some of the brews locally.
