Community Support Makes the Holidays Bright for Local Teens

Share

With another holiday season in the rearview mirror, Recharge Teen Center Director Amy Rogers is grateful for the support from the local community in helping provide a meal and gifts to area teens:

“We partner with Walgreens in town and they allow us to put a tree up with tags that kids fill out with their wishlist items. The community just goes nuts. People were calling and messaging every day, asking if there were still tags, what do we need, and if there was anything extra we needed for the party. The support was overwhelming in the best way. All of our tags were filled. We had 67 kids sign up for our Christmas party and all of them received their gifts.”

Looking ahead in 2026, Rogers informs another Quarter Auction fundraiser will be held with more details to come and they are also bringing back their Youth Business Expo.
