February is American Heart Month. McDonough District Hospital Vice President of Business Strategy Patrick Osterman explains their offered heart CT scans:
“We do offer the heart CT scans. For first responders, you don’t need to call your primary care provider to get an order. If you need to talk to your primary care provider, if you are interested in having a heart CT scan done, you can have it done at McDonough District Hospital. We have two CT scanners now, with the other one coming up online in June and we do a special, twelve months out of the year, it is $99, cash pay, which means you can’t run it through your insurance plan, but for $99 you can get your heart CT scan done. If you don’t have a primary care provider, we have a nurse practitioner that can assist with that.”
