In today’s world, technology is very important and used every single day to complete a variety of tasks, but dependency on the technology needs to be a balanced approach, especially with young children, explains Precise Behavioral Health Executive Vice President Luke Raymond:

“We have seen this over the last five years or so with youth being always on and always connected and the negative impact that has on their mental health. We can’t say no technology at all, because then the kid become a pariah socially because they are not connected. I think the right approach is a balanced approach, an approach that starts a little bit later. If we think in terms of the way a digital device engages a developing brain, there are all kinds of stimuli coming in. What that then creates is a longer term connection to that device, which is of course what the app and content creators want to have.”
